In CO2 snow blasting, the smallest compressed dry ice particles are generated in the machine, accelerated with the aid of high-performance nozzles and blasted onto the surface to be cleaned. The flow velocity of the CO2 particles in a free jet depends on the nozzle and setting parameters used. As a rule, the flow velocities range from 50 to 300 m/s. With special nozzles, we can also achieve flow velocities that are higher than the sound velocity of air at 330 m/s.
