Liquid CO2 (carbon dioxide) is not classified as a hazardous substance. Care must be taken to ensure that gas bottles are secured against falling over. Containers must be protected from direct sunlight and stored at less than 50 °C. During transport, the driver must know the possible dangers of the load and what to do in the event of an accident. The bottle valve must be closed and tight during transport. The valve protection device must be fastened correctly. In case of doubt, the gas supplier should be consulted.
